What we can learn from ISIS terror
ISIS wants
to create a separate Islamic state where no true Muslim would like to live, and
women will not be respected and they will serve only for their sexual desire. The
Muslim youth should be guided not to fall prey to the terrorists call and shun
them as evil forces which will cause worse
damage to their future and bring disrepute to their family,
Under the
conditions, it is important to deal, terrorism not only by military unit, but
also should look at the troubles confronted by the Muslims and empower them to
unite the principal flow of the society.
Islamist
terror is not caused by poverty or oppression. It is caused by ideas inside the
killers' heads - and nothing more.
Osama bin Laden, a wealthy businessperson,
religious fundamentalist foregoing his business took terrorism to fight against
US, claiming that they were against
Islam. US massive manhunt led to locating Osama bin
laden in Pakistan and was shot dead. Unlike Osama bin Laden at that place are
few wealthy Islamic fanatics whose identity never revealed waging war against
humankind in the name of Islam called jihad.
These
influential, wealthy criminals should be identified and eliminated to control
terrorism.
In the
Indian context, Muslims terrorists’ claiming it is “jihad” regularly attack the innocent people,
including their community causing devastating effects, which includes economic
down trend. More than Al-Qaida, it is the Indian outfits Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT)
and Indian Mujahideen (IM) are the terrorist groups to be supervised closely,
for their terrorists’ activities.
Ayman
al-Zawahiri leader of Al-Qaeda after Osama bin Laden called for Muslims to open
an Indian arm.
Yet the
Islamic seminary Darul Uloom Deoband condemned un-Islamic call made by the
terrorist leader.
Muslim
groups such as All-India Majlis-e-Mushawarat an apex body of the 12 Muslim
groups representing different sects too condemned.
Indian government accepts 65% Indians are poor Muslims poorest among religious groups, says NSSO survey. The
poverty rate is much higher among Muslims compared to the other religious
segments.
Muslims’
average per capita spending a day is Rs. 32.66, while it is Rs. 37.50 for
Hindus, Rs. 51.43 for Christians and Rs. 55.30 for Sikhs.
For the
past 67 years, the Congress was not serious about eradicating poverty but from
the inception exploiting the caste and religious sentiments for vote bank
politics on the other hand actually kept them oppressed with only increasing
the quotas/ more reservations, and subsidies.
The
Congress, for votes provides 5 % quota for Muslims on Maharashtra, like what it
did on the eve of 2014 parliamentary elections. The Muslims never been admitted
to join the national mainstream in competing with the majority segment of the
society on the virtues.
It is
saddening to note the political parties are not so serious about getting rid of
poverty, and the wealthy party members are more concerned about winning the
elections, by playing divisive politics.The
Congress has mastered in this kind of politics, calling itself as a secular
party.
When the
British Raj began to take power in India in 1757, they exploited the caste
system as a means of social control, which the Congress followed faithfully.
The
Congress and the elite well-placed Muslim leaders did not do much to empower
the Muslim youth to connect the national mainstream.
Equally disappointing the Muslim leaders sit in key positions such as in Parliament, Government and
in other high private capacities, but have failed to do something about the
misconceptions and misperceptions of Islamic teachings as well as negative but
factual things that people say about the Muslims and their youth in society.
Unfortunately,
the higher a Muslims climbs up the educational ladder, the lesser he or she
becomes interested in his or her religion.
It is very
important that political parties having an eye on garnering votes play the
communal cards in the name of secularism actually create communal unrest. The
present day voters are aware the dubious role played these political parties
and refuse them, equally this is device in nature and hurts the minority
communities the most.
The
political parties are insensitive to this issue witness the sordid state of
affairs of the Muslims without assuring the Muslims equality along with other
communities.
Muslim
empowerment can happen only through education. The Muslim community can lead
the world only if its members equip themselves with the right type of education
and excel themselves in all branches of knowledge. Muslims to use their schools
and educational institutions for promoting interaction with Hindus and other
communities so that wrong perceptions about Muslims and Islam can be dispelled
and a favorable atmosphere can be created for all to live peacefully.
The need
for a better coordination between educational institutions of the Muslims, of
the 85 per cent of the cases received by the National Commission for Minority
Educational Institutions (NCEMI) New Delhi came from Christian institutions
though Christians accounted for hardly three per cent of the total population
in the country.
Since
Muslim educational institutions do not have proper coordination among
themselves, their problems did not reach the commission and they remained
unsolved, the need for branches of Federation of Muslim Educational
Institutions in India (FMEII) across India.
Indian Muslim
youth are inextricably linked to their families and this must be taken into
account when devising plans of action. Community centers must be equipped to
offer pertinent advice on career counseling, advantages of technical education,
health issues, family counseling, and computer literacy. It is paramount that
the most competitive Islamic institutions of higher learning throughout the
country reclaim their historic leadership roles by devising strategies for
greater educational and political empowerment, as well as initiate a national
dialogue of assessing the negative popular portrayal of India's Muslims.
However, these lines are more entrenched for Muslims because
they do not benefit from minority status quotas as; Dalits do, making social
mobility a more difficult task. They are the fastest growing population in
society, with the Indian Muslim birthrate being the highest in the nation. It
is 6 times the national average.
The
politicians and the religious fanatics should keep away from young Indian
Muslims and should not to create animosity with other members of the society.
Education is a mighty tool, which could make these youth to attain higher
echelon in term of prosperity, social status. If merely the political parties
desist from making secularism as an issue, the harmony among the various
religious groups will flourish.
The Prime Minister Narendra Modi,
among many odds is fighting to put India on a growth path and it is the duty
every Indian and political parties (including Congress) to offer their
unconditional support to the government to make India an economic super
powerhouse.
The BJP
government led by Modi has given utmost priority, Muslim youth empowerment,
which is must for development programs.
